Faculty: Collection Development

Specialized services for Loyalist College Faculty.

Collection Development

The Parrott Centre welcomes suggestions for library materials, including books, eBooks, streaming videos, and journals, to supplement your course requirements.

Requests can be made at any time:

A request form is also available for your convenience.

Periodically, library staff will contact faculty seeking suggestions for library materials. We look forward to hearing from you; your feedback is a critical part of building a great library collection!

Please Note! In accordance with our Collection Development Policy, the Library does not purchase textbooks. The Library welcomes donations of current textbooks, and faculty are invites to place an extra copy of a textbook on course reserve. Any questions or concerns about library materials can be directed to Jennifer Dupuis, or to Ross Danaher at Ext. 2339.

Donations

The Parrott Centre welcomes donations of current materials which support and compliment college curriculum and programs. Because of space limitations, processing costs, and the Parrott Centre’s mandate to support the curriculum of Loyalist College, not all donated materials can be accepted. The Parrott Centre reserves the right to refuse donations which do not match our Acceptance Criteria. Faculty and staff wishing to donate materials, or view the library’s Donations or Collection Development policies, can contact Ross Danaher at Ext. 2339.
