Inclusive Education: Resources at Loyalist

This guide compiles resources for faculty, staff, and administrators seeking to internationalize and diversify their practice and curriculum.

Resources @ Loyalist

Below are a list of services and departments at Loyalist College that may be helpful to you as you work on making your curriculum or practice increasingly inclusive and diverse.

Indigenous Resource Centre

Services at the IRC include:

  • A friendly environment in which students can express and share their cultural identity.
  • Study space with computers, internet and email, video and text library, and current Indigenous newsletters and papers.
  • Support with applying for and accessing Indigenous student funding, including scholarships, bursaries and awards.
  • Various social and cultural events for students.
  • Employment and volunteer opportunities as student ambassadors and tutors. Indigenous Services at Loyalist College includes both an Indigenous Circle on Education as well as an Indigenous Student Council.

The land on which Loyalist College currently sits is the traditional territory of the Wendat, Anishnaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples, and we are directly adjacent to the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) community of Tyendinaga. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and work on this land.
