COVID-19 Resources: Fact Checking

Please Note!

To the best of our knowledge, the information on this page is accurate and current. This page is not a substitute for medical advice, and library staff are not trained medical professionals. If you are feeling ill and are concerned about your symptoms, please contact your health care provider.

Please visit the Hastings Prince Edward County Health Unit website for the most current information on COVID-19.

As of May 1, 2022, Loyalist College has lifted its masking and vaccination mandates. The College recognizes that individual comfort levels around masking will vary, and if you feel more comfortable wearing your mask, please know that your personal decision will be respected. Even when wearing a mask, it is important to wash your hands often, practice physical distancing, and to stay home if you are sick. For more information about how to wear a mask properly, check the HPEPH infographics about How to Wear a Mask Safely or visit

Fact Checking

Because the COVID-19 situation is changing quickly, it can be difficult to determine whether information is accurate. It is also very easy to be confused by inaccurate or incorrect information. The Library recommends using reputable health resources for updates, including those found on this page. Below are links to additional resources that can help you to evaluate information about COVID-19. If you are unsure whether a piece of information is accurate or not, please contact the Library; we’ll be happy to help.
